As of now I'm no longer drawing anime/manga style. I completely switched to realism o.o =0
I'll be posting realistic stuff now ^ ^ mainly fast sketches of photos of people. Until I get a feel for real anatomy ^ ^. Working on people faces is harder and funner than anime style o=. Plus I was told manga/anime artist aren't real artist D: unless you can also draw realism so woot gonna try this out which is pretty easy so far. I'm drawing free hand somehow it's easier o-0 and more accurate.
yup yup well only reason I gotta give up anime for a while is because having anime bundled up in my mind can mess the realism in art. Like it did today >_> I'm super good at coying but I want to be able to draw it without looking.
I completely disagree with the ''you aren't an artist if you can only draw anime'' thing. I can draw more than anime and all, but anime IS an art style. Just because it doesn't have as much textbooked history as the old styles doesn't mean it can't be an art form, like cubism or pointillism (spelling?).
Reminds me of a question I heard on the CBC news radio the other day: ''Is art too white?''

o,.o I said I read that "you aren't an artist if you can only draw anime". o.o o.o And anime is art but seems you gotta go away from that if you want to make it in the art business since companies want to see more than just anime. They think it's to easy to do because little effort is done (face,body etc).
