Hey guys, i don't think i have many friends or watchers, but just wanted to give some advice for upcoming artists who feel they are struggling or in dire need of help.
I advise you to look at reference when you can't draw something, a little reference goes along way, because in time it will be etched into your memory, this is also true for figure drawing! Which is another important thing to do!
My biggest advice is to not give up, even if you don't feel up to par with other artirst or can't seem to learn things. Everyone has their own
techniques that help them. You can watch, read, copy how to draw tutorials but it wont always help, but it is best to take what you can from that and implement it in your studies.
One thing i discovered that works for me when drawing a character is to use a light color pencil (when doing traditional) for a rough draft before doing my final lines. Its a technique that helps me with placement and allows me to create fun poses. When i try to go to dark right away it makes things hard and feel constrained as well as finding myself erasing alot.
Same technique works when doing digital, except i start with a rough layer and build on top of that in new layers until i get a lineart i like.
All i am saying is find something that works for you and learn from others! See ya! Happy drawing!

Manga Title Brainstorm!
I have been working on a manga idea recently, one that i pitched as a one-shot-comic in an old journal entry. Now, the story has fallen into place and so has many of its unique and fun characters as well as the baddies. The plot and characters (designs, art style etc.) are still in progress, but is mainly a very stable idea that won't crumble or end up in a failed pile of ideas somewhere in a bottomless pit.
I've been practicing quite a lot more nowadays since I made up my mind and am seriously going to pursue Graphic Novels as a career, and I need help!!!
One troublesome matter for me is that I have difficulty sticking with or finding good
WaCom Tablet

Art: Lost and Found
Hi there Deviants, I have been looking at different artists lately mostly manga-kas such as Tite Kubo, Katsura Hoshino and also my friends who are artists. And at some point I absorbed too many styles that my original style was became lost and morphed. My favorite OC's started to become generic and "not mine" and just a few moments ago I decided to move away from that... because I haven't been happy with the results (though they did look good) it just didn't feel like they were my drawings anymore.
I decided to draw a few sketches of how My characters originally looked like (in my created style) but added some of the techniques I have learne
Copyright Help
Ok Deviants I have a question I would really like to get answers to if you guys would be so kind and take a moment.
I was browsing google and found some of those Japaense dolls and found one that caught my interest for a character design. How much Would I have to change from the original design so I won't get any trouble for copyright laws? Basically I liked the hair and outfit (but not all of the outfit xD but yeah...) I would really appreciate if someone knew anything about this. I tried googling it, but I didn't know what to ask >>
~Thanks
